In 1980, in a basement located on Milwaukee’s north side…
Owner and CEO, Kevin Schuele, started selling cleaners and restoration chemicals to car lots in Milwaukee. The company’s focus later shifted to private label blending and packaging, and it was named Chempak. One of its initial clients, Brookfield Chemical, remains a customer.
As business expanded, Kevin moved the company to a larger location at 35th & Fairmount in 1982.
To diversify, Kevin acquired BioPak, Inc. (renamed Custom Foods Group), a food processing plant that also caters to private label manufacturers. The company’s growth led to more acquisitions, including a location at 3720 N. Fratney for national production, and another at 2727 West Silver Spring Drive, which became the Milwaukee Distribution Center.
In 2006, PAK opened a new chemical blending facility at 8000 W. Good Hope Road, replacing some older sites. In 2008, recognizing a market opportunity, Kevin expanded into the consumer ice melt market and set up operations at 3600 N. 35th Street.
To better serve customers and modernize processes, PAK acquired its current facility at 7025 W. Marcia Road in January 2010. This site is now the company’s Corporate Headquarters and food processing center. Throughout the years, PAK’s growth has been guided by Kevin’s belief in embracing change and investing in quality for future success.
